The Shocking Truth of NDIS Behaviour Support

The truth many NDIS families, participants, and support coordinators quietly share (but rarely shout about) is how often previous providers leave them high and dry:

  • Multiple new practitioners & handovers

  • Total ghosting from companies

  • Long delays and waiting lists (3+ months)

  • No follow-up or support after a delivered report

  • No face-to-face therapy with a participant

  • Funding drained with minimal results

After hearing about this happening time and time again to hard working families and support teams, we responded with our motto:

We only hire behaviour support practitioners we would trust to support our own family.

“Before becoming a PBSG Problem Buster, everything felt unpredictable.“

“We were constantly avoiding situations that might set things off. Leaving the house was stressful, and home didn’t feel calm anymore. Our PBSG practitioner Madeline was so helpful, lovely, patient, and truly listened to us. She made us feel supported from the very first visit. She taught us how to become PBSG Problem Busters, to look beyond the behaviour and see it as communicating an underlying need, rather than just a problem to stop.

Within a few weeks, transitions became smoother, we could go out again without the constant worry, and our home finally felt peaceful. It’s not perfect, but it’s manageable now, and that’s made a massive difference to all our lives.”

This Should Not Be Considered Normal

Every day managing behaviours. Transitions that derail everything. Outings that feel impossible. A home that’s anything but calm.

It’s draining. For parents. For support teams. For anyone carrying the load and trying to hold it together.

And for the participant, it’s just as hard.

Without clear strategies or the right supports, behaviour becomes a way to cope. A way to communicate. A way to survive in a world that feels overwhelming.

Whether you’re at crisis point or just beginning to notice that you need expert help…

You want calm. Clarity. Consistency. Real change.

That’s exactly why we work best with:

  • Parents who won’t accept “this is just how it is now.”

  • Support Coordinators who need a behaviour service they can trust to consistently help.

  • NDIS Providers who need high quality training, clear plans, practical strategies and fast implementation.

  • No chasing. No second-guessing. Just outcomes that make your life easier.

What we deliver:

  • Understanding what’s really happening beneath the behaviour.

  • Strategies that actually work in real life.

  • Consistent, reliable support from day one.

  • A home and team that feel steady again.

And then things start to shift:

  • Trips out of the home without meltdowns.

  • Transitions between activities that just happen.

  • A household that feels calm again.

  • A participant learning new skills instead of relying on behaviours.

  • Support teams feeling confident, not overwhelmed.

Not perfect.

Just calmer. Easier. Manageable.

And often, sooner than you expect.

“PBSG are one of the few I refer to with total confidence.”

“As a Support Coordinator, I’ve seen first hand the impact of behaviours of concern on my participants. In one instance, PBSG worked with a participant who had been housebound for over a year due to severe anxiety and behavioral triggers. Within 2 months the participant had accessed a local community hub for the first time in 1 and a half years.”
